Jon Wall originally hails from upstate New York, near Syracuse. He credits his love of music to his dad who would sit the kids down at the stereo and play classical and marching music and point out all the things to listen for. His older brothers instilled a love for 60's and 70's rock. He started playing the bass guitar in high school and joined a band in his first year of college at Western Washington University in Bellingham. That band, G.T. Noah, played and toured around the Western states and built a following of fans who liked their jamming style and varied songs as all five members wrote and sang. During the 6 years with G.T. Noah he got the opportunity to record several albums, opened for Merle Saunders and the Marshall Tucker band, and learned the ins and outs of a traveling, working band.
